… authors used to write stories, find publishers, get published, find readers, make some money and live happily ever after between the hardcovers of old and new books.
Now, we do things slightly differently.
Hi!
Welcome to Paper Dreams. Here, once a week, I will share the stories and poems that I have been working on over the years. Sometime next year, I also plan to serialize my novel and share it with you all.
A rebellious daughter, a broken and malevolent statue, a quay in Girvin, scattered diamonds on the roadside, and a gymnast on top of a tall industrial chimney are some of the people and places that you will get to meet in my newsletter over the coming weeks. You will also get a peak into the fabulously vulnerable, petty and insecure mind of a writer at work - that just may be the funnest part :).
I read somewhere that a story isn't complete until it is read by a reader who brings his or her own perspective and imagination to the table. I look forward to you completing my stories and poems, and sharing your thoughts, opinions and feedback with me.
Happy reading!
Binu
Hi Binu! This post by Elle Griffin has some great points on why and how writers "do things slightly differently now," like you said: https://ellegriffin.substack.com/p/publishing-industry-truth
Interesting...Looking forward !!
