It has been more than three months since I last posted anything out here. A lot has happened since that post. I have lived a lifetime and died a million deaths. Over the last few months, I had shared glimpses of my daughter’s and our journey as she fought a rare and aggressive sarcoma called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour (DSRCT). The prognosis for this type of cancer is rather dismal yet buoyed by her initial response to treatment and her gung-ho, sassy spirit, we had believed that she, and we, could beat it.
Dear Binu, she will shine amidst your words for a long time to come. I wish you strength and calm, witnessing your journey with a warm heart and loving gaze.
No words! But reading your piece will undoubtedly give strength to many whether grieving a loved one or any other other loss. We are all together in this grief Binu. Love
You Write Words and share a piece of your soul with us. Sakshi, the rockstar, has left such a huge impact on the people who have met her, known her and seen her through your eyes. It would be an honour to hear everything that you would want to share about her and your life with her. As you slowly unfold and unravel, we wish you and Suresh all the strength that Sakshi's memories can bring.
P.S: Waiting to be guided by you on how I can support.
Sakshi, her life, your life, your words are all an immense inspiration to all of us. Please continue to share whatever you feel like. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hey, Binu. Thank you for sharing this. I am terribly sorry for what you are going through, and I realise nothing I say will ever make it okay. Wishing you all the strength in the world. That said, your daughter is a victor already. That picture from her 16th birthday cannot come from a non-triumph.
Whenever you are ready to write, I am really looking forward to hearing more about her. She seems like the kind of person who'd light up a party, and I cannot wait to get to know her more.
Take your time, take as much time as you need, to grieve, to scream, to laugh, to cry and to celebrate Sakshi’s life. And when you are ready and want to talk, I among others will be waiting, waiting to hear about the beautiful soul that was Sakshi.
The way you have articulated her life is so beautiful! Hope others are able to learn from your family. Sakshi will continue to shine and be an inspiration to many. Do reach out if there is anything i can do to help. Take care and you'll will continue to be in our prayers.
Thank you for this precious creation or a platform of love & inspiration . True victory over death is only a life that leaves a legacy.. an example for the world to learn from. Eagerly awaiting the unfoldiing of the journey of our darling Victor!
From a mother to another. So much love to you dearest Binu & Suresh. May Sakshi’s Force be with you, live & speak through you to millions who need to hear. Forever & ever. ♥️♥️♥️
